Wholesale Organic Cotton
If you want the cleanest, greenest mattress, look no further than White Lotus Home organic cotton. But don't stop there! Organic cotton can be used in toppers and pillows, as well! Our 100% organic cotton comes with the assurance of USDA certification, meaning this is unwashed, unbleached, untreated cotton, and nothing more.
Organic cotton is raised without any synthetic herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers, and that any field used for growing organic cotton cannot be treated with these materials for a full 3 years before organic crops can be grown there! All our organic cotton comes from United States farms, too!
Each 80x80x2 inch, 4.5 pound layer of organic cotton batting in a mattress, gives you a firm sleeping surface that is still soft enough to absorb your body and cradle you while you sleep. In pillows and duvets, cotton gives you a material that is firmer than wool, but still light and fluffy. Organic cotton will be slightly softer than its green cotton alternative.
GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton

The unrolled dimensions of our batting depends on how the fiber has arrived on that particular batch but it is about 2 inches thick most of the time and the king-size piece of batting measures approximately 80x80x2 inches. We mention approximately because as you can imagine, our cotton and wool batting is very flexible, and sometimes, some areas may weigh a little more or less. If you prefer, we can weigh a new batt from the most recent delivery, before you make a purchase... The king size batts are about 4.5 to 5 lbs each!
SAMPLE Question: I want 10 pounds of wool/cotton batting, I know it is 80" x 2" but how long?
Howdy! Great questions! The wool and cotton arrive 80 inches wide but the cotton arrives in king size batts (80x80x2 inches each) and the Wool arrives in rolls that are very long. Over 25 yards on some rolls, however, 80x80x2 would be about 4.5 lbs, so for 10 pounds, you would get about 200x80x2.

Organic Cotton Batting:
I am making a full-size futon. I am planning on ordering the 2" double mattress core foam piece (2x50x70) for the core of the futon and cotton batting for the top and bottom of the futon. My futon cover can accommodate a 4" to 5" thick futon. How much of the cotton batting should I get?
If you are planning on buying our organic batting, each batt is going to be 3-5 pounds in weight, but it all depends on the firmness you are looking for. We make a few types of mattresses we really cannot give a good answer here. However, one batt is about 1-2 inches thick but, for mattresses we normally use 2-3 times as much for each inch of thickness, since it is lofty, and it compresses. For instance, for each inch you may need 2-4 layers of batt, again depending on your final goal on soft of firmness.
One or two layers on each side of the core mattress? If one layer, would that correspond to 5lb of batting total? If two layers, would that correspond to 10lb of batting total? A 5-inch White Lotus Home latex core mattress weights Double/Full 5" Futon 80 - 90 lbs. If you are trying to make one like ours, you may need 70 lbs. https://www.whitelotushome.com/bedding/wholesale-usda-organic-cotton-us-grown.html
